I AM!

My eyes grew wide, and my mouth dropped when I realized I was struggling with insecurity and low self-esteem. For a long time, I didn’t even recognize it for what it was. I thought I was just being hard on myself to stay motivated, or that maybe I just was not good enough in certain areas. But underneath it all was something deeper—something that life had quietly chipped away at over time.
Life has a way of throwing us curveballs—disappointments, rejections, losses—and each one can leave a mark. Sometimes it’s not the big dramatic moments that shake us but the slow subtle ones. A comment here, a failure there, a door that never opened. And before you know it, you're questioning your worth, doubting your voice, and holding back in spaces where you should be shining.
But awareness is the first step. I had to face it, name it, and as I did it lost a bit of its power. I'm learning to be gentle with myself, to rebuild my self-worth not on achievements or approval, but on truth: that I am enough, even when I don’t feel like it. That healing is possible, even if it’s not instant. And that it’s okay to ask for help, to take up space, and to grow at my own pace.
Every time you speak, you're shaping your brain. Neurologically, you’re wiring pathways—either positively or negatively. So when you constantly complain, criticize, or curse your circumstances, you’re reinforcing a mindset of defeat and dysfunction. But when you choose to speak life, gratitude, and truth, you're training your brain to see, believe, and expect better.
David understood this long before science confirmed it. In Psalm 34:1 (NLT) he declared, “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.”
Why? Because as Acts 17:28 (NLT) reminds us, “In him we live and move and exist... we are his offspring.” That means everything we do—including how we speak—flows from our origin in Him.
So speak like an Image Bearer. Think like one. Sow like one.
Because we get what we plant—so let's plant life. Plant praise. Plant purpose.
You’re not just speaking words. You’re shaping your world.
