Known by many for his soul stirring vocals, Ceejay Horrell has proven that he is more than just a gospel singer. Using his sharp ear and keen eye, Ceejay creatively uses the entertainment medium to inspire and uplift lives. From his syndicated radio programs to his soon to be released v-blog series, Ceejay is dedicated to using multimedia solutions to inspire and uplift lives, and he's passionate about teaching others to do the same.
Cyril Earl Horrell Jr. is a third generation '‘PK'’ (preacher’'s kid) and growing up in a Christian home has undoubtedly helped to shape his heart and passion for ministry. An ordained Elder of the Church he attends, Ceejay can be seen Ministering on It Is Written TV Canada, and in Churches and events throughout North America and the Caribbean.
Ceejay began his music ministry with his sister Loucretia Horrell, performing as Ceejay & Luckey. Together their music ministry allowed them incredible exposure. They shared the stage with many gospel favourites including Ron Kenoly, Helen Baylor, Wintley Phipps, John Lomacang, Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, Donnie McClurkin, Steve Green, Alvin Slaughter, Andre` Crouch and the list goes on.
Their debut album ‘'Tell Jesus'’ propelled them unto the scene with a Caribbean tour and to more than 20 cities across the United States as one of the headline acts for the BET Black Expo in 1996, along with Television appearances on BET Gospel, BBC and TBN. Vocally, their blend is one of the rarest expressions of sibling harmony. They’re an experience you have to hear for yourself.
As CEO of his own Multimedia Production Company, Ceejay has served as producer on various projects. More noteworthy, is the concert event ‘Purpose by Design’, featuring Grammy winner, Fred Hammond and Radical for Christ in Trinidad. He had the pleasure of producing all the radio and television commercials, as part of the Event Management team. He’s also been involved in many other evangelistic, concert/entertainment events and radio programs as speaker, producer, presenter, artist, event manager and consultant.
As a music producer, his music has become a mainstay on Caribbean and Trinidad & Tobago radio. As the former morning voice for the first ever all gospel radio station in Trinidad, the now defunct '‘LOVE 94.1FM'’, Ceejay brings a wide spectrum of talent, knowledge, and experience to his music and ministry.
Born in the beautiful twin isle Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Ceejay now lives in Canada with his best friend and life partner Elizabeth and their two sons Triston and Austin. Ceejay'’s eyes are fixed on the future as he continues writing music, singing, speaking/preaching and producing programming.

It's been over 10yrs since I've released any new music (not good... lol), and although I have been recording music with It Is Written TV Canada, I havent actually released any solo material either. I must admit it is due in part to the fact that it is very costly, but I have been writing and hope to release new music soon.
In the interim however, do enjoy some of my favourite, previously released tracks with my sister Luckey and me, along with a brief history of each song. The music spans most of our recording ministry together, from 1994 - 2000. And yes I will be sure to let you know when my first full length solo project is ready, so keep praying for me, I need your prayers.
I Must Tell Jesus (released in 95)
My sister and I always enjoyed taking the hymns we grew up on and putting our own spin on them. I Must Tell Jesus is one of our favourite hymns and I hope this version blesses you.
Nothing But The Blood (released in 95)
Growing up in the Caribbean we always enjoyed those old school praise parties, where the old folk would clap and sing their favourites that always ended up in a never ending medley. With the help of our cousin and then producer Rawlins Joseph, we tried to capture a bit of that spirit with this track.
You've Got A Friend (released in 95)
Sometimes a secular song comes along and you can't help but feel like it was meant to be a gospel track. When my cousin Rawlins first played his idea for us, we could hear and feel the vocal arrangement just jump out at us. This was a joy to record.
Won't Let Go (released in 95)
I would never forget my sisters reaction to this song. I had just finished writing it and after sharing it with her, she was not too enthused about doing it as a duet, she felt it would work better as a solo. We recorded it anyhow and she grew to love the fact that I convinced her it would work; she loves it as a duet now.
We'll Stay True (released in 95)
I've always felt that my sister is a way better writer than I am, and to me she proves it with this song. I asked her to write something that spoke about our relationship and our commitment to encouraging each other to stay true to this journey with Christ. Within 5 minutes We'll Stay True was the result, and it's still one of my all-time favourite songs that she's written.
His Joy's A Joy (released in 95)
This song brings back so many memories; it's the only song we shot a video for. It was huge hit on Caribbean radio and the video made it unto BET Gospel, as a result we were asked to be a part of the BET Black Expo tour '96 to more than 20 cities in the USA. We also released a remix version with a female rapper named Sawti out of NY, the one you're hearing is the original though. And still nothing beats His Joy!
I'll Wait (released in 2000)
Keith Kirk is a dare friend and very talented musician, and one of the highlights of our working relationship is when he shared this song with me. He wrote it with us in mind and I fell in love with the song, and the way he captured the joy and anticipation of spending eternity with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Recorded as a demo, we released it in 2000 as part of a sneak peak CD with 5 tracks.
Keep On Writing (released in 2000)
Included in that 5 track sneak peak CD was this song. A dear friend of mine Grace Howard was my inspiration, I was encouraged by her faith and courage in the face of a terminal disease. Whether it was a phone call or a quick visit every time I was in New York, she would never fail to lift my spirits and strengthen my faith, even when I felt I was the one to be doing that. She passed away before she could hear the recorded demo version, but I sang it over the phone for her a couple times. Till the morning Grace.
